Visit

Located at the far north of Napa Valley, the Calistoga Wine Region was designated an AVA (American Viticultural Areas) in 2009. A visit to Calistoga’s wineries offers a unique experience as visitors discover some of the best wines in the valley in a relaxed, warm and charming setting.

Long known for producing legendary Cabernet Sauvignon, the 55+ wineries of the Calistoga AVA continue to diversify. Throughout the region, talented winemakers are getting the most out of the region’s unique terroir to craft an impressive list of white and red wine varietals that are widely sought after.

The wineries and growers range from boutique to fairly large, and almost all are family-owned. It’s not uncommon to meet the winemaker and/or owner during a visit. The wineries are very focused on super premium quality and the vintners know the value of their unique growing environment in the volcanic soils of the Calistoga region, where afternoon breezes give way to cool mountain nighttime temperatures – ideal conditions for quality grape growing.

Exceptional wines are handcrafted here at the top of the valley, as Calistoga provides an unforgettable and truly authentic wine experience.
